Become An Anchor For Collective Healing

Becoming a group community leader is a sacred and demanding process that requires deep embodiment, capacity, dedication, and leadership. Our immersions push students to develop skills to build thriving communities. This event is both personally and professionally transformative, designed to take our students to the next level in their professional careers as community healers.

About Our Immersion Retreats

Studies have shown that group therapy can be as effective, if not more effective, than individual therapy. Facilitating group therapy opens new opportunities with limitless potential.

This group is a focused container for preparing to launch ongoing somatic healing containers in your city. Running groups is deeply rewarding personally and can be an anchor for building a sustained client base. You'll receive the inspiration, clarity, and support you need to build a thriving local community.

What You’ll Learn:

+Use breath, movement, and body-based anchoring practices in a group format

+Understanding of the core Somatic Principles (Resourcing, Window of Tolerance, Titration, Pendulation, Co-Regulation) and how they apply in a group setting.

+How to hold relational ruptures and emotional intensity when they arise in the room and lead members through repair processes

+A clear, consistent session format that includes community agreements, governing principles, and codes of conduct.

+A clear plan for marketing and community development so that your group continues to grow with or without you.

*This event is only available to students enrolled in our Psychosomatic Practitioner Training, Part Training, or MA in Integrative Psych. Students currently enrolled in the MA receive 3 credits per retreat.

The Venue:

Arizona Grand Hotel

The Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is a premier desert oasis, perfectly blending functional excellence with the tranquil beauty of the Sonoran landscape. Nestled at the base of the 16,000-acre South Mountain Preserve, the resort offers an all-suite experience that ensures every participant has a private, residential-style sanctuary. With over 120,000 square feet of versatile space, including 16 unique outdoor venues and grand ballrooms with 21-foot ceilings, the property provides the expansive physical and energetic "room" necessary for deep, immersive work.

  • Connection to Nature: Our sessions often transition from indoor learning to outdoor integration. The resort's direct access to the South Mountain Preserve allows participants to ground themselves on hiking trails or reflect in lush gardens, facilitating a literal and metaphorical "felt sense" of the earth.

  • Embodied Spaces: The sprawling layout and high-ceilinged ballrooms prevent the "boxed-in" feeling often found in corporate hotels. This openness is vital for movement-based modalities and breathwork, where physical space directly impacts emotional capacity.

  • Holistic Integration: Between intensive immersions, the Athletic Club & Spa and the seven-acre Oasis provide necessary outlets for regulation and play.
