Our Mission:

The world is facing a mental health crisis, yet aspiring practitioners face an insurmountable regulatory maze. As the field reorganizes around the awareness of trauma, the traditional diagnostic models often shut out the very healers we need most.

Somatic and integrative therapies have emerged as some of the most effective for treating trauma. Naturally, students are drawn to study and utilize these techniques.

Yet, practitioners seeking education and training outside conventional pathways face a curious and frustrating reality: there is no clear pathway for alternative and somatic mental health practitioners. Practitioners who do not subscribe to the traditional diagnosis-and-treatment model face astronomical education costs and “regulatory lock” that prevents a clear, professional pathway.

Integrative Psychology was created to address this challenge and transform the culture of mental health and the educational pathways that support the modern student.

Our mission is to make pathways into thriving mental health careers simpler and more accessible for all.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 159 million Americans live in an area with a shortage of therapists.

Mental Health Education is Broken:

Less than 1% of students searching for a Master’s Degree in Psychology enroll in one.

Only 27% of students who enroll in clinical counseling programs end up completing licensure.

Yet, psychology education fails to create a realistic pathway for most students.

It takes on average 9 years and $110,000 to become a licensed clinical counselor.

Weaving a Web of Human Nature

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

Diagram showing various therapy approaches surrounding a person sitting cross-legged and smiling, with labels for CBT, Parts Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Spiritual/Existential Psychology, Functional Health & Brain Optimization, and Attachment-Based Therapy.

Integrative Psychology is based on the insight that no single modality can fully capture the complexity of human nature. On our trainings, you’ll learn how to think across modalities and weave them together to form a more complete picture of consciousness.
