Instructions & Approval Process: College Credit Pathway
Overview
Programs seeking college credit through the Integrative Psych Institute must meet specific criteria and submit required documentation. Approved programs can offer up to 24 transferable credit hours toward a master’s degree, potentially saving students up to $12,500. The approval process typically takes about two weeks.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify, programs must:
Provide at least 30 hours of structured instruction (synchronous or asynchronous).
Have a curriculum with clear learning objectives, some live instruction (in-person or online), and assessments aligned with objectives to ensure graduate competence.
Align with at least one of the following core domains:
Behavioral therapy
Somatic therapy
Parts work
Attachment and trauma healing
Polyvagal or nervous system education
Integrative wellness practices
Application Process
Submit the following documents:
Instructor Resumes: CVs for all instructors.
Course Catalog: A document (e.g., Word or PDF) for each course seeking approval, including:
A clear description and learning objectives for each course level.
Admission requirements for students.
Completion requirements, including attendance policies and assessment methods for certification.
A statement clarifying the meaning of "certification" and the licensure/scope of practice for graduates.
Post-Approval Benefits
Upon approval, your program will be designated an "Approved College Credit Partner," allowing you to market the college credit opportunity. Suggested marketing language includes:
Example 1:
"Our program is approved for college credit through the Integrative Psych Institute. Complete our training to earn transferable credits toward a degree in integrative psychology."
Example 2:
"Our program, evaluated and approved by the Integrative Psych Institute, allows students to earn college credit toward psychology degree programs. Benefits include:
Official credits on a college transcript
Reduced costs for a psychology BA or MA degree
Faster graduation by eliminating redundant coursework"
Note: Do not claim your program is "accredited," as this term is reserved for institutions with direct Department of Education approval.
Compliance & Student Standards
The Integrative Psych Institute reserves the right to terminate the agreement if candidates entering our program do not meet expected standards or have not completed required coursework. If approval is revoked, credits earned by students enrolled during the approved period will still be honored to ensure fairness.
Fees & Contract
Approval Fee: $7,500 for new institutions.
Refund Policy: If your program is not approved, the fee will be fully refunded.
