Psychosomatic Practitioner™

The Psychosomatic Practitioner Training ™ bridges the critical gap between modern psychology and somatic, body-based healing. Students will explore the foundations of trauma formation, the core somatic principles, attachment theory, and stress compensation mapping. The program emphasizes the unique healing power of somatic exploration and the ways our psychological states and nervous system patterns shape one another.

Designed for practitioners ready to work at the intersection of psychology and embodiment, this training offers a deep understanding of how to support clients beyond traditional talk therapy. The curriculum is designed for students with existing training and/or client experience, but want more hands-on practice.

The experience culminates in learning to facilitate the integrative ELM Program. Inspired by the functional medicine patient-practitioner model, ELM gives you the critical structure that helps you lead clients through not just a single session, but to progress with them over time. You will receive specific protocols and client intake and assessment forms for your client sessions. You will learn three specific 60-minute session formats (Regulation, Release, Reflection) and practice them in weekly supervised facilitation groups.

Whether you’re a therapist, coach, or wellness practitioner, this training equips you to lead with clarity, compassion, and science-backed tools that address the root causes of mental health issues.

Module 1: The Bodymind System

Module 1 is about you, your relationship with your history, and the present state of your nervous system. We don’t introduce any client work. Our goal is to transform the way you relate to yourself as a foundation of your future work.

We focus on these concepts in Module 1:

  • Self-Regulation - The skill of managing your emotional and physiological states through body-based practices, thoughts, or behaviors.

  • Trauma Imprints - Residual patterns of emotional, physical, or behavioral responses stored in the body after a traumatic experience. The root cause of all mental health issues.

  • Energetic Mapping- Learn two philosophies of energetic mapping from Ayurveda and Chinese medicine to increase your relationship with interoception and the felt sense.

  • Resourcing - The ability to connect to a sense of grounding and stability.

  • Capacity/Resilience - The range of arousal within which a person can function and process emotions without becoming overwhelmed or shutting down.

In module 2, you will learn 3 techniques to use with clients:

  • Resonant Communication - A unique communication framework that focuses on energetic attunement during verbal communication. An essential skill for somatic practice.
